A Romantic Blush and Green Wedding at the Williamsburg Winery | Williamsburg, VAGet ready for the wedding of the season! When I think of a picture perfect wedding, I couldn’t possibly imagine anything more than Kaitlyn and Connor’s Williamsburg Winery wedding this past Saturday. Starting with the most genuine and kind bride and groom, adding in a gorgeous venue, a beautiful and fun bridal party and the most incredible vendor team, it was truly a wedding to remember. Kaitlyn’s style is flawless. (Sorry, Connor - knowing Kaitlyn, I have a feeling this was all her! ;)) From the soft blues and greens of her bridesmaids’ dresses and the crowns of greenery on their heads, to the waterfall braid in Kait’s hair and the long strapless lace gown she wore, this bridal party looked like they were straight out of a magazine! The groom and groomsmen complemented the girls nicely with sharp blue suits, brown shoes and classic rose boutonnieres. The flower girls wore some of the cutest dresses I have ever seen, complete with pearls, tulle and ribbons galore. The ceremony arch was covered in roses and white drapery that blew in the wind, while the reception was decorated with candles and greenery everywhere to bring a very bucolic atmosphere to the dark and romantic indoor reception hall. Karen Roa of Aleen Floral Design truly outdid herself!! The thing that really made this wedding so incredible, though, was the sheer amount of love that surrounded this day. The love that Connor and Kaitlyn have for each other, for their families and for the God who created this union is truly inspiring. It is selfless, encouraging and beautiful. It’s the kind of love that makes you want to cry, knowing that YOU are (somehow!?) loved even MORE than that by the God of the universe…and how humbling and awe-inducing is that?! The love that their families brought to the day proved just how adored and supported this couple is from all sides!! I had so many memorable moments during the day that I couldn’t possibly list all of them! This was such a fun wedding! However, one of my very favorite moments of the day was watching the father of the bride, Brad, cut in on Connor in order to dance with his daughter. The looks on all three of their faces were absolutely priceless! Check out the photos near the end of the blog post for a guaranteed laugh! Another incredible thing about this wedding was the sheer amount of people on the dance floor all night long. It was never empty! And it was the grandparents who filled it up! The bride’s grandfather absolutely tore it up all night. I think he danced with almost everyone, but spent a majority of the night dancing with his daughter, the mother of the bride. Kaitlyn’s grandmother Marlene was the star of the bouquet toss - you really don’t want to miss those pictures! She also led a conga line! I am so thankful for these dear friends and their marriage, and I’m still so honored that I was asked to be the one to capture the beginning of their life together! Enjoy my favorites from Connor and Kaitlyn’s wedding day! PS. Kaitlyn is a writer and wrote a beautiful letter to her married self that everyone should read (honestly, you should just read absolutely everything that she writes because it is incredible, but start with this letter!): From Miss to Mrs PPS. Check out their engagement session HERE! Hello, beauiful!!!! Kaitlyn gave the bridesmaids adorable rompers to get ready in. Kait, you are STUNNING! THE CUTEST FLOWER GIRL THERE EVER WAS!! A real life princess. What a handsome group of guys! The bride and groom wrote each other letters to read before the ceremony. They then opted to have a "no-look" first look so that they could share a few words before Kaitlyn walked down the aisle! The emotion as Connor watched his bride walk towards him was unforgettable. AHHH! They're married!!!!! The beautiful tablescapes had a touch of modern design to them. I honestly felt like a little like I was at a dinner party in the woods under the stars. The reception was absolutely picturesque. These two!!!! The cutest flower girls ever, hands down! These beauties deserve to be in a magazine!!! What a great looking group!!! In their first moment alone together after the ceremony, it finally hit them that they were MARRIED! Such a gorgeous cake!!! Now THAT is how you do a first dance! Sunset portraits call for wine! I am SO in love with that light and those colors!!!! A perfect dress for twirling! One last dip! The grandmother of the bride led the conga line!! Please enjoy the facial expressions in the sequence of 6 photos above!!! The father of the bride cut in on the groom to dance with his daughter... ...and proceeded to tear up the dance floor!!! The bouquet toss was hilarious! Connor and Kaitlyn opted to share a private last dance right before their exit. Connor and Kaitlyn, Thank you for inviting me to share in your incredibly special day! I am still so honored. I love you both! xo, Courtney Dress: Essense of Australia from Maya Couture
