Virginia Beach Wedding Photography at the Water Table | Virginia Beach, VirginiaAre you ready for the most perfect coastal wedding there ever was?! Evan and Olivia were married on Friday in a beautiful ceremony by the docks of the Water Table in Virginia Beach. This was my first time shooting at the Water Table and, I have to admit, I’m absolutely obsessed with it!! The lighting on the docks is dreamy, and all of the windows lining the reception room are absolutely stunning (you know I love my natural light!!). Not to mention the fact that the ceremony location is right on Rudee Inlet! Olivia’s taste in decor was impeccable, from the roses, greenery and sea stars overflowing from the candle lit tablescapes, to the aqua bridesmaids dresses and coral and blush bouquets that made a gorgeous contrast with the light background of yachts and sky. I met these two when Olivia gave birth to their sweet daughter Emersyn almost 3 years ago and I was asked to take the newborn pictures!! We have since taken family photos and engagement photos, too :) It was such a joy to be a part of their wedding and to see Emersyn as a toddler (she is all personality!!) Evan and Olivia met 10 years ago and became best friends almost instantly. After being “just friends” for almost a year, they started dating when Olivia graduated high school. They continued dating long distance during college, where Olivia was very driven and Evan wasn’t the most studious. Evan says that he “would not have graduated if it weren’t for her.” After graduation, Evan went into the police academy and Olivia started working as a special education teacher. They had sweet little Emersyn (who they say was “not planned but oh so loved”) the next year, admitting that it was the “hardest but best thing” that has ever happened to them. They finish their story with this: “We love each other very much and love that little girl even more. She is the light of our life. We’ve had some hiccups a long the way and bumps in the road. Police life is not easy or for the weak - Add the extra layer of having a baby when you’re still trying to find yourself as an adult and in your career. We both made the choice to give 110% to each other and our family and came out on top because of that. We have grown up together hence why we are so close and can finish each other’s sentences. We are truly best friends that fell in love and made a life together.” I hope you enjoy this stunning water-front wedding (starring Emersyn!!! ;) no really, just wait!!) Emersyn tried on Olivia's veil while watching her get dressed - SERIOUSLY SO CUTE. Olivia, you are absolutely stunning!!! A sweet and emotional first look! Ladies, you are STUNNING!! I am loving this color!!! Patricia Alspaugh of Parties for Particular People truly outdid herself with the floral arrangements!! I've never met a more ADORABLE (and hilarious!) flowergirl!!! All smiles! I loved the suspenders and bow ties! "Evan is an amazing father and partner. Everything he does is selfless. He puts the needs of me and Emersyn and others before his without hesitation. Not to mention his career is the most selfless and courageous. He is always my shoulder to lean on when life gets hectic." - Olivia They're married!!! Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Mabry!!! How gorgeous is this?!? The perfect amount of coastal elegance. Emersyn danced for a good half an hour before the bridal party was introduced, twirling and running around the dance floor, ending her recital with a bow. The sweetest first dance!!! Emersyn joined the newly weds half way through their song!! Favorite Part of the Wedding Day? Our first look and sharing the day with Emersyn. We never thought we would have our child at our wedding but we wouldn’t have traded it for the world. It was so special sharing that day with her along with all of our close family and friends." The cutest little family I've ever seen!! "Olivia is the most kind hearted and giving person I know. Her strength and dedication shows in everything she does from loving me and our family to her job. She deals with so much between tough students, my schedule, and crazy Emersyn but she is always happy and enjoying life." - Evan Advice to couples planning a wedding? "Trust your vendors (and photographer). They are the professionals and can help so much along the way. Don’t be afraid to reach out to them to see what they recommend. Sit back and soak it all in on your wedding day because it flies by." Evan + Olivia, What an honor it has been capturing your memories these past two and a half years!! I am so happy for your perfect little family. Congratulations and all my love!!! xo, Courtney Dress: Here and Now Bridal
