Princess Anne Country Club Wedding Photographer | Virginia Beach, VirginiaJT and Natalie’s Princess Anne Country Club wedding on Saturday was certainly an affair to remember!! Their very talented vendor team worked magic off to make this day absolutely perfect for the newlyweds, and Natalie told me that she and JT were obsessed with how the day turned out. She reiterated how much they loved every second - that it was like “someone perfectly recreated what was in [my] head”. Gather Floral Design filled the day with greenery and hydrangeas (the couple’s favorite flower), and Hannah Hildebrandt Events made sure everything ran smoothly! Natalie’s Madison James gown was easily one of the most gorgeous dresses I have ever seen! The glittering mismatched bridesmaid dresses lended an elegance that complimented the groomsmen’s Calvin Klein tuxedos perfectly. JT and Natalie were on their high school crew team together, became close during their last two years, and even went as each other’s dates to prom! (although at the time they were “just friends” - I love how these stories go!). A month after prom they went on their first real date! 6 years after that (through dating long distance during college, a break up, a rekindling of the relationship, moving in together and getting a new puppy!), JT proposed in February of this year on an epic trip to New Zealand! When Natalie first reached out about shooting her wedding, I knew without a doubt that she was the IDEAL Courtney Timms bride. I actually received her email asking about my availability just a few days after the proposal (while they were still in New Zealand)!! There is no better feeling than knowing that someone values and trusts you and your work so much that you’re a priority in planning their wedding! Because JT and Natalie valued their photo time and trusted me to do my job, the threat of rain after the ceremony didn’t phrase anyone one bit! We switched the timeline a bit and went straight into what was supposed to be “sunset photos” right after the ceremony! We took a golf cart down to the beach and were able to shoot for about 10 minutes before the skies opened up, making for some gorgeous windblown portraits featuring Natalie’s beautiful long veil. The couple had also chosen to share a first look, allowing for ALL of their photos (family, too!) to be completed before the ceremony. The “sunset photos” were just an added bonus! We then took more photos on the covered porch at the PACC and they were still able to join their cocktail hour!! First look for the win!! Clients who trust you for the win!! I hope you enjoy scrolling through this wedding day - get ready for some of my favorite bride and groom pictures of the year!! I am obsessed with the details on Natalie's dress!!! This unique combination of sparkling bridesmaid dresses made for such beautiful photos of Natalie and her girls! "I loved my bridesmaid reveal. It was so special getting to surprise the women that meant so much to me and that moment made the months of keeping my dress a secret so worth it!" - Natalie The sweetest father-daughter first look! GUYS!!! Obsessed!!!! Look at these models!! Magazine material right here!!!! "My favorite attributes of Natalie are that she is a loving, nurturing, and very caring person. Also that she is headstrong and independent but does so much to take care of me and our relationship" - JT Sometimes an out-of-focus image ends up being soft and romantic and absolutely perfect! Such a good looking bridal party!!! JT says his favorite part of the day was having his best guy friends and his family all in one place and getting to share that moment with them. "My favorite part of our wedding day was seeing JT emotional as I was saying the vows I had written - he’s never emotional so it was sweet to see that they were meaningful to him." - Natalie One more kiss!!!! An approaching storm makes for gorgeous windblown portraits!!!! "My favorite attributes of JT's are his dedication and loyalty to his friends and family, his laugh, and his huge goals he sets for us and himself - sometimes I have to bring him back down to earth :)" - Natalie Natalie's advice to couples planning a wedding: "I definitely recommend the bridesmaid reveal! Also, don’t stress about the day - it all came together so perfectly and even when things weren’t how I planned them (no sunset) it was still perfect. The day flew by so take in what you can. Also maybe don’t plan a flight for 630am the next morning because that was a rough wake up! Haha!" I've known Natalie and her family since I was little, so it was incredibly fun for me to get to see so many old friends!!! JT + Natalie, Thank you for including me in your gorgeous day!!! It was such a privilege! I hope you are having the most wonderful time in Mexico! xo, Courtney Dress: Madison James from Studio I Do
