A First Landing State Park Engagement | Virginia Beach, VA
Ahhh! This couple is just so wonderful. I’ve known Justin and Megan for a while now and was beyond honored when they asked me to shoot their wedding this November at the Duke Gardens down in Durham. They recently moved down to North Carolina, but decided to drive back up to Virginia Beach to get their engagement pictures taken, so I was excited to be able to take pictures in a place that has so many memories for them. We decided to shoot in First Landing State Park (which they lived next door to while they were here), giving us both the beach and the forest as backdrops for pictures. It was an overcast morning and the first cool day of the season - perfect early fall weather!
We poked fun at Justin about half of the time and he was such a good sport! There was lots of laughing and catching up to be done :) This session was a little crazy behind the scenes, as we watched a snake catch a frog (Megan and I screamed) and a cat being walked on a leash at the beach (we all laughed for several minutes). Not to mention the state park was overrun with dogs that morning and Megan and I stopped to pet every single one - sorry Justin! It was so much fun getting to spend time with these two dear friends of mine and talk about their upcoming wedding!
I hope you enjoy scrolling through these pictures of a truly wonderful couple! Stay tuned for their wedding pictures that will be coming in mid-November! Megan, you're going to make the most beautiful bride - I can't wait!
Oh hey there, GORGEOUS!!
They are just too cute!
Justin, you killed it. That ring is GORGEOUS!

I couldn't help myself - I just had to include these!!
